this weekend

This weekend was full of summer.
It started with sun in the morning,

it continued with sun, warm wind and fresh green

with our favorite summer food: strawberries with biscuits and cold milk

with cheese strudel in the afternoon

with grilled fish and salad on the dinner

and it ended up with a good wine

and a great summer sunset.

How was your weekend?

where I live – one

Inspired by a theme of Elsa for our Corner View
Francesca called a point slightly from our corner.
I find it very interesting to see
where the others live,
how their corner looks like.
This week there is to see: roofs
– then the next: doors.

I live in a small town – pretty boring for me – there is not much to see.
I have photographed the roofs around the house in which I live.

corner view – room with a view

Room with a view – and I remember always to our hotel room at Lake Garda.
It is breathtaking (for us ) to get up in the morning with this view
and to go in bed in the evening with the view to the illuminated pool, the flickering lights on the other side
and the sparkling stars.

MondayTrip – Lugano

Before that time we have visited Venice, we drove through Switzerland.
At the Zurich lake down to Lugano and Lake Lugano.
I can not remember if we camped at a campground or stayed in the wilderness.
Anyway, we stayed here over night and ate dinner outside on a busy square.
The next day we climbed the “mountain” of Lugano, Monte San Salvatore.
The short hike was beautiful and the views magnificent and breathtaking.

Roxy – the little puppy from a friend.
Five months old.
Happy, alert, playful and full of discovery came.

We have taken a long walk with Frieda and Roxy
and the two have played and romped a lot.
The little puppy was a long time full of energy –
and we have used a long time, until the puppy was tired and was photographed.

MondayTrip – Venice

My first trip without my parents I did with my then boyfriend. Normal for the age :).
We drove a Ford Transit with a mattress to sleep (very comfortable) by Switzerland,
Venice and later to the Netherlands after Amsterdam and the North Sea.
Unfortunately I have no pictures of the Netherlands.
But I’ll show you some of my first trip alone with no family to Venice and the next time to the lake of Lugano.

In Venice we have spent a total of only one day.
The car we were parked outside on a large parking lot and drove with a passenger boat in the city.
Venice is a beautiful city.
Especially great are the streets, the waterways, the ancient Italian homes, the laundry hanging out the window over the channels.
And so much more.

And we were there as tourists,
we have completed the normal program: a gondola ride through Venice.
And the gondolier has even sung for us – as we know it from movies. :)

11 Things about me and a little bit more

Several weeks ago, Fran of ahh, life…santé!  has something passed down to me:
– 11 things about myself
– to answer some questions
– think up more questions
– pass them on to two or three people.

11 things about me (wow, this is a hard-to-write-list)

For breakfast I like to eat an egg.

I wear, except in a few weeks in summer, thick socks in the bed.

I like to drive my car

but I hate to fly in a plane.

In the morning at half past five I speak very, very much.

I don’t have a green thumb.

I love the Lake Garda.

I read very much.

Every day I drink a lot – two such mugs.

When I was 16 years old, I got a nose ring. I wore it nearly two decades.

Cards hang on my refrigerator, about  I have to laugh.

Frans questions:

If you had to pick one place in your town to bring a tourist, where would you go?

I would go in the old town of Ratisbon.

What is a good place to travel but you would not want to live there?

I can not answer. It is important to feel at home, then you can live anywhere.

When you have a day of free time, how do you pass the time?

There are several things that make one I would.
Take photos, photos, photos …, a trip, meet friends, visiting an exhibition, watching a great movie in the cinema, reading
and lazing on the couch – depending on how I feel.

What was the first thing you bought with your own money?

With 15 years I’ve worked for three weeks in the holidays .
In a factory, I’ve screwed some electronic parts together.
Eight hours from Monday to Friday – and every day was less beautiful than the other.
BUT when I held the earned money  in my hands – my first own money – I was very happy.
That summer I had two wishes.
A Levi jeans with holes (yes, it was the time of the holes in the pants beginning of the 90) and Chucks (then outrageously expensive).
I need not to tell you that I wore the Chucks longer than it was intended by the manufacturer.

What is your biggest fear or worry?

I am a mother – I must not say more, right?

What song always makes you happy when you hear it?

He is the best!

If you could become a character in a TV show or movie, who would you choose to be?

I can not say. There are some movies I count among my favorite films.
And also some great characters.
But I would not be anyone else. I want to be me. So I’m satisfied.

If you had to evacuate your house immediately, what is the one thing you would grab on the way out?

There is nothing more important in my apartment than these two:

If someone was to give you one gift (money is not an issue), what would you want to receive?

More time – and I would like to support Joey L. in his work and learn from him.

What is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for you?

There are people in my life who were always there for me – and this is the most valuable thing I have received.

What do you know now that you wish you knew then?

I think: Good things come to those who wait.

(Please feel free to answer these q’s on your blog and let me know about it, I’d love to read your answers)

1. What is your favorite meal?
2. What would you do if someone  give you 1 million dollars?
3. Where do you see yourself in the future?
4. Which countries / places you want to necessarily see in your life?
5. What moment made you very happy?
6. What is your favorite author?
7. What do you want to do necessarily in your life?
8. What movie made you happy?
9. What are you afraid?
10. At what moment in your youth you love to remember ?
11. Which season do you like very much?

I give the questions to continue:
