One of the most beautiful parts of Corsica is the Gulf of Porto (UNESCO, World Heritage Site).
Porto is a small village with about 600 inhabitants, many nice dogs
,
a beautiful beach, a Genoese tower of the 15th century, and surrounded by eucalyptus forests.
I have eaten there in a small local restaurant an excellent soup:
Soup de poisson – fish soup with lots of garlic, grated cheese and toasted bread.

You can’t see the road, but it leads in the middle of the wooded hill.
From there you have a beautiful view of the gulf.

Bonifacio

Bonifacio from the viewing point of Capo Pertusato.

In the south of Corsica – the very edge – there is the impressive town of Bonifacio.
Impressive especially the location of the medieval upper town. 70 m above sea level,
are the houses on a narrow spit of land, a chalk cliff.

Could you sleep in one of the houses that stand on the hill, at night in peace?
I don’t!

As the sea washes away the stone, develop fascinating caves,
which can be visited on a walk by the sea.
