last week
the morning after a thunderstorm
Isn’t it wonderful when a thunderstorm raising after a clear and very hot day?
And in the next morning when the air evaporated from moisture and you stands before another hot day?
It reminded me of
childhood,
swimming pool,
free of heat in the school,
at night without blankets and the window wide open.
On cherries,
on ice,
on the smell of sun cream,
at come home only when it gets dark.
On holiday.
MondayTrip – ChileVII
Back in Santiago de Chile – and again without a car I waiting for the next adventure: a train ride of 24 hours.
500 km from Santiago to Puerto Varas.
On the train I had a sleeping compartment – and there is even a compartment servant who prepared the bed at night, and a dining compartment.
The journey took me from a very dry and hot area, in a moist and cool area.
I remember Puerto Varas as a beautiful city. With many colorful wooden houses and a landscape that looks like Germany or Switzerland.
It was very green, and there are brown and white cows like at home and flowering rhododendron.
Puerto Varas is located in the Región des los Lagos and on the south bank of the Lago Llangquihue.
From the town you can see the Volcano Osorno.
I stayed here for several days and made several trips. One took me to the Rio Petrohué and the falls of the Lagos Todos los Santos.
The falls plunge 20 meters in depth.
A fantastic view.
Another trip took me to the north of the island of Chiloé.
Even there it is very humid and above all very green. It rains a lot. Here I especially like the colorful houses.
On the island I have eaten oysters the first and the only time.
Slimy, but good taste.

MusicFriday – Paul Kalkbrenner

CornerView – vegetable
The theme – vegetable.
I can show you the vegetables that I buy every week for cooking.
But you already know, because you buy it also.
I prefer to show you the garden of my friends.
For vegetables, it is still too early, but I can tell you, there will be lots of vegetables and then lots of delicious food.
On my last visit to the vegetables were still too small, or just the germs, but there was an abundance of beautiful flowers.
And I would like to show you.

MondayTrip – Chile VI
Today, a brief look at the roads that I ride in the back country.
Crushed stone and gravel, dust, and sometimes very little visibility.
Often no signs of the roads, but always nice people have always helped – despite my lack of language skills.
Sometimes there was nothing to look at for hours, sometimes unexpectedly, the landscape green.
But ALWAYS a poignant and vastness.
