MondayTrip – Corsica I

by Li+Belle

Corsica is one of the most beautiful islands I have visited.
For two weeks I visited the island from north to south, from west to east.
First I walked a couple of days on the Tra Mare e Monti -
a long-distance trail that begins at Calenzana and ends in Gargese and lasts 11 days.
I walked them four days – from Calenzana to Galeria.
The hike was not difficult, the first day it was much uphill through the scrub,
followed later by a flow path that brought me to the sea and the village of Galeria.
During the day it was very warm, and I have taken a dip in the river.
During the hike I spent the night to camp sites (one night a fox stole my cookies, which I had stowed in the tent) ,
which were among the gîtes d’étape.
In the gîte d’étape evening there was always a delicious traditional meal.

Have a look at Menthe Blanche and her MondayTrip.
